Senior second XV season opener

Ballina seconds got their season started with a friendly game vs Sligo seconds on a scorching hot afternoon at Cleveragh.
Orrey Collins crossed in the left hand corner for the first try after 15 mins. Sligo scored twice to make it 12-5, but Adrian Bourke scored on the far right corner just before halftime to give a 12-10 score line. Two tries early in second half gave Sligo a 26-10 lead, but Ballina never gave up, Craig Culkin got the third try and they were inches from a fourth try in the last minutes of the game. 26-15 final score.
A great start, next game Sunday 11th, opposition to be confirmed.
