A wonderful charity morning took place on Sunday when friends and families gathered for a Pilates and coffee morning in the clubhouse. It was a hugely enjoyable event and all funds raised were for the Sunflower Children's Hospice - a hugely deserving cause.
Mayo Roscommon Hospice aims to begin work on an eight-bed Sunflower Children's Hospice in Castlebar in 2026 - a facility that will serve eight counties along the western seaboard. At present families of children with life-limiting illnesses in the west of Ireland must make lengthy trips to Dublin for hospice care.
The Sunflower Children's Hospice will cost at least €14 million and and will be borne entirely from fundraised income.
