The "Past" teran will line out in the City of the Tribes jerseys and the referee will be Ivan Heffernan. The "Present" fifteen are quite confident they will win at 'the second attempt', but they would need to improve on their display against Westport on Sunday last to entertain any hopes of a victory against the old stagers.
Last year when the novel challenge was initially organised the "Past' players played a brand of football typical of the type which won for them the Connacht senior cup and league titles in 1951, and won by a comfortable margin.
The annual dinner, which will be held in the Moy Hotel on St. Stephen's night was one of the highlights of the local social calendar last year. The committee have again made elaborate preparations for this years dinner.
