Sean, Paul and Luke all set for Junior Inter-Pro decider

Michael Gallagher8 May - 11:18

Three of our own to wear the green in Castleisland

BEST of luck to Sean O'Connell, Paul Brennan and Luke Sweeney who have been selected for the Connacht Junior squad for the final Interprovincial match of the season against Munster on Saturday in Castleisland at 2pm.
Sean, who has had a brillinat series so far will pack down in the front row again while Paul and Luke will make their impact from the bench. Calum Quinn is out injured for this one after two fine displays against Leinster and Ulster.
After a brilliant win against Leinster in the first Interpro in Ballyhaunis and a very close loss against Ulster last weekend, Connacht face their Munster counterparts in the third and final match in the Junior Interprovincial Series of 2026.
Head Coach Paddy Pearson has named his match day squad for the clash in Castleisland.
"We’ve had a really enjoyable couple of weeks together. It’s been brilliant building connections with people from right across the province. We’ve grown really close as a group, and there’s a genuine determination to finish the series on a high this weekend," says team manager Ross O'Boyle.
"It’s been an incredibly tight Interpro series, and heading into the final round there are still three possible winners depending on results. Our focus now is on leaving everything out on the pitch against Munster, showing the best version of ourselves, and hopefully bringing the title home for Connacht!"
Fintan Crawley (Ballyhaunis RFC) continues as Captain this week with Eoghan Coyle (Creggs RFC) and Luke Sweeney (Ballina RFC) as Vice-Captains.
