CLUB ESTABLISHED IN BALLINA
An inaugural meeting of Ballina Rugby Football Club was held on Tuesday night in the Town Hall, Ballina. Dr Keane presided and the following elections for the season took place.
President, Dr F Keane; Vice-Presidents, Rev Mr Little, Messrs W Strong, S Moore, W S Huggard, T J Lendrum, T Shiel, James Murphy, H C Bourke and F V Devere; Captain, Ed Murphy; Vice-Captain H Daly; Additional members of committer, Messrs J Ahearn, E Kearney and A H Harbourne; Hon-Sec, Mr R H Floyd; Hon-Treasurer, Mr V P Mahon.
Arrangements for matches with Sligo and Westport to take place in the near future were made. A further general meeting will be held on Tuesday night next at the Town Hall, at which all intending supporters should be present.
