CONGRATULATIONS to our own Harry West and his Connacht colleagues who played their way to a dramatic victory over table-toppers Glasgow Warriors in Galway on Saturday evening.
A try from Sean Jansen in the last play of the day, secured a precious win for the westerners and the score set the Dexcom Stadium alight as the large home crowd celebrated joyously.
Afterwards, head coach Stuart Lancaster was a happy man.
"To get the win for us is huge. It was nip and tuck, wasn't it? Glasgow, as they do, were always going to put pressure on and they scored two good tries. But I thought the composure... we missed the penalty but then we still kept our heads, got the try.

"Some of the attacking sequences we put in towards the end, when traditionally teams against Glasgow would tire, I thought we actually got better as the game went on. That's a testament to the work that the S&C guys do here and the coaches, so that we can play that 80 minutes.

"It's something I think we've struggled with this season to play those rollercoaster games and come out on top in 80 minutes. I'm just grateful we've done it this time and it gives the boys a bit of confidence going into the next block.

"It's a reward and thank you to all our fans for supporting us in the tough times and it's nice to give them that win on a Saturday afternoon, which means they can enjoy their Guinness tonight, as we can."
