St Muredach's got off to a winning start in the Connacht Colleges Senior A league with a well-earned 30-26 victory over a fancied Jes (Colaiste Iognaid) side from Galway.
Tries from Iarla Quinn, Shane Loftus and Anthony Neary, and conversions from Tom Ruane along with two penalties from James Fox were enough to see 'The Dachs' over the line.
It was a great start to the new season for the young senior squad.
