WE'RE very excited to say that two of our players have been nominated for Connacht Rugby Awards.
The gala event takes place on Saturday night on Atlantic Premium Level of the new Clan Stand at Dexcom Stadium.
There are 17 awards in all, from club and school level to the Connacht player pathway and senior men’s and women’s sides. The evening will pay tribute to the performances of players, coaches and volunteers at all levels of the game.
Evie Kennedy has been nominated for the U-18 Player of the Year, sponsored by RDJ. Evie's nomination is rich reward at the end of a stunning season where she wore the green of Ireland with great pride. The other nominees for the award are Ballinasloe duo Anna McDermott and Roisín O'Sullivan
Calum Quinn has been nominated for the Men’s Junior Club Player of the Year award, sponsored by laya. Calum had a superb season as he helped the club to Cawley Cup and Connacht Plate glory. his nomination is richly deserved. The other nominees are Dean O'Reilly from Creggs and Westport's Cormac Lyons.
