ALL at Ballina RFC send heartiest congratulations to Ciaran Fitzgerald, who was inducted into RTE Sport's Hall of Fame this week. Ciaran is a Ballina native, having been born in Lord Edward Street in the town, and has regularly returned to Moyside to attend various events.
The man who led Ireland to two Triple Crowns and captained the Lions on the 1983 tour of New Zealand, has always been a true friend of Ballina Rugby Club and we send him our very best wishes on his deserved recognition.
The attached picture was taken at a Civic Reception for Ciaran when he was joined by Seán Calleary, Seán Murphy, Mick Murphy and JP Leonard among others.
