Delight as Clara win national title with UL Bohs
CONGRATULATIONS to our own Clara Barrett and Westport's Lily Brady who played huge roles as UL Bohs came back from the dead to beat Railway Union 29-24 in the Energia All-Ireland League Final in Lansdowne Road this afternoon.
Clara came off the bench and made a massive impact with her pace and power down the right wing as the Munster club sought their second title in succession.
There was little or nothing between the sides throughout the game but Railway Union held a 24-22 lead as injury-time arrived.
Bohs launched one last attack and held their never brilliantly for Eilis Cahill to power her way over the line to win the game before Kate Flannery added the conversion to seal the deal.
Afterwards, Clara and Lily celebrated with family and friends at the end of a very special sporting occasion.
