U12s will play as Ireland host England

Excitement is building in Ballina as the hours tick towards Sunday morning when the U12 girls will gather at Heffernan Park and set off on a great rugby adventure. The lucky young ladies have been chosen to take a central role on Sunday afternoon when Ireland host England at the UCD Bowl in Dublin in a November International.
The Ballina girls will line up with their colleagues from Donaghadee in Ulster, Fethard from Munster and Leinster's Portarlington to form a guard-of-honour as Ireland and England run onto the pitch which will be home to the Women's Rugby World Cup pool games next August.
This is the first time Ireland Women have ever played November Test matches on home soil and the Ballina girls can hardly wait for the action to begin.
At half time, Ballina, Donaghadee, Fethard and Portarlington will take to the pitch for exhibition games and the Moysiders are looking forward to showing the big crowd what they can do.
Everyone at the club sends best wishes to the young stars, their coaches and families on a famous day for Ballina RFC.
The journey will begin early on Sunday morning when the girls gather at 8.20am at Heffernan Park to set off for Dublin. Accompanying them will be proud supporters from the girls' U10, U15 and U18 squads.
The Ballina squad for international duty is; Lorna Bergin, Shania Breslin, Laura Calleary, Rachel Cuffe, Aoife Hannigan, Shauna McCann, Sarah McCormick, Grainne Moran, Ciara Mullen, Isobel Thorton, Aisling Tuffy, Ailish Quinn.
