CONGRATULATIONS to Dave Heffernan and Harry West who were helped Connacht to a massive 75-14 win in Galway to seal a place in the last 16 of the Challenge Cup.
The home side ran in eleven tries and Harry got in on the act with a fine score in the first half.
The French visitors were completely overwhelmed despite starting quite well, but once Paul Boyle galloped over in the eighth minute, the floodgates opened.
Cian Prendergast added a second try with 19 minutes gone, and though Montauban responded almost immediately through Jean Seux, Sam Gilbert's try and a penalty try ensured the bonus-point was bagged before the half-hour mark.
Ru-Hann Greyling had received a 20-minute red card for a hit on Cathal Forde by that stage, and Montauban were floundering.
Harry then raced over for a fine try before Cian Prendergast, Matthew Devine and Boyle also crossed the line, with Gilbert's trusty boot ensuring the hosts led 56-7 at half-time.
The scores kept coming on the turnaround, albeit the frequency with which they arrived slowed down.
Sean Jansen, Shane Jennings and Dylan Tierney-Martin got in on the act, with Paul Valle getting Montauban's second try of the night in the closing stages.
