THE new season is quickly coming down the track and three mighty men have assumed command of coaching the senior squad in Ballina RFC.
The new coaching team is led by Mickey Murphy and includes Richard Morrow and Aiden McNulty. The three men have represented Ballina RFC at senior rugby over 1000 times and they have assumed their new roles with a great sense of energy and anticipation.
All three are graduates of our wonderful mini and youth rugby teams, further confirming our grassroots to green shirts ethos. They have all represented Ballina RFC and Connacht with distinction and now will guide our senior squad.
On the pitch, these were three of the most inspirational and uncompromising players that Ballina ever produced and their performances coincided with one of Ballina’s most successful eras.
Training started at 10am this morning when the squad and management gathered in Heffernan Park with a full-day session.
They will bring that steely determination and vast experience allied with tactical nous to their training sessions which will be full of energy. Exciting times await all of us and everyone in the club wish Mickey, Richard and Aiden the very best of luck in their exciting endeavours.
