U18 Girls race out of the blocks

Our U18 Girls team were highly-impressive when recording a 36-7 win in Claremorris on Saturday afternoon.
Six tries and three conversions were recorded by the Moy women as they blitzed the home side with a stylish and hard-working display.
Every one of the guests impressed on the day, but they will also be aware that lessons must be learned for the next challenge awaiting them as the season unfolds.
Tries from Emma Walsh, Rachel Beale and Clara Barrett and a conversion from Beale left the half-time score reading a healthy 17-0 in favour of the green and navy.
Shona Crean extended the lead early in the new half with another try before Aoife Doherty ran the length of the pitch to score Ballina's fifth try of the day.
Claremorris came back with seven points of their own to close the gap to 29-7 but it was only a temporary reprieve as Aoife Doherty again crossed the whitewash and Nina McVann added the conversion to bring the curtain down on a highly-satisfying afternoon on the road.
Well done girls and management - onto the next one!
