Development, Women, Youths and Girls

As the 2019/20 season gets up and running we will have teams at many different levels playing competitive matches this weekend.

Our Development XV travel to Loughrea on Sunday for their second round of the Division 1B campaign. The boys were very disappointed to be edged out by Ballinrobe in the opening game and will be hoping to make up for that on their trip south.

The senior Women will have their first competitive home match on Sunday next at 1pm when they host Galwegians in the Connacht Invitational Cup. It promises to be a very special afternoon for all involved and the entire club is looking forward to the big game.

Our U16 Girls host Creggs in Round 2 of their league campaign on Saturday at noon. Both teams picked up wins in the opening round last weekend with our girls defeating Sligo 25-22 on the road and Creggs enjoying a home win over Ballinasloe.

Our U18.5s Boys host Corinthians on Sunday at noon hoping to maintain their fine start to the season. A fine 29-3 win in Connemara on the first day out was an indication of the talent in the squad and they’ll be hoping to develop on that display on Sunday.

Our U14 boys will have two teams in action next weekend. The Red team were defeated 28-17 in Sligo last weekend and will host Galwegians in Ballina on 1.30pm. They’ll be hoping to bounce back and show their best at the weekend.
Our Green team will travel to Ballyhaunis at the same time, hoping to show what they can do on the road.

The U16 Boys will also be in action this weekend. They host Oughterard in the opening round of the league on Saturday at 2.30pm, hoping to get off to a great start.
