BEST of luck to our U-18 player Dylan Rice who will play for Ireland this evening in Italy. It's a hugely exciting day and we'll all be on tenterhooks as the boys in green run out against the home side in Padua for a 5.30pm kick-off (Irish time).
Dylan has come through the ranks at Castlebar RFC and St Gerald's College and has joined our club this season. He's an extremely talented player and works hard on his game. We were delighted to see his hard work rewarded with a call-up to the Ireland U-18 Club team for this exciting moment in his sporting life.
Head Coach Jamie Kirk is excited about the opportunity awaiting his team. “This presents the players with an invaluable opportunity for development, but also to perform in a test match environment.
“The group have worked hard together in preparing for the challenge ahead, and with many having the experience of the development camp in August, we are looking forward to getting underway.”
Dylan is joined by five other Connacht players in today's match-day squad; Andrew Henson of Buccaneers, Ferdia O’Braonain from Corinthians, Leo Anic of Creggs, Sean Glennon from Ballinasloe and Kailin Blessing of Buccaneers
