Great initiative between BRFC, Connacht Rugby and Top Oil

There have been many special days in Heffernan Park over the decades, but very few rank anywhere close to the excitement and fun generated last Friday when the rugby players from the local St Dymna's school came calling.
The players, coaches and assistants had a wonderful morning and our own Corinne Beattie was there to capture the action.
The event was held on the back of monies raised by Top Oil for Autism Ireland and St Dympna’s.
Tom Waldron from Top Oil is a great supporter of local initiatives and was delighted that the company used the funds to help support Connacht Rugby and Ballina RFC with their sports inclusion for disabilities, with the assistance of Chris O'Neill and his band of coaches.
Tom was blown away by the event. "Top Oil are heavily involved with community and sporting initiatives and we work in tandem with Connacht Rugby, Ballina RFC, St Dympna's and many community organisations.
"We hope that this wonderful event is the first of a number we will host in the future and it illustrates how sport can include everyone in the true spirit of team, comradery and enjoyment."
Gerry O'Donnell of Ballina RFC was equally enthusiastic about the event. "This is what we're all about here in Ballina Rugby Club - We're a club for every single person the community and we want to see our facilities being used and enjoyed by everyone. Today's event is an outstanding example of what sport does for the community and I'd like to especially thank our own Chris O'Neill and his coaches and everyone at St Dympna's and Top Oil for making it all happen."
