Telling our story to the world

There are celebrations at HQ this morning after confirmation came through that our club website has reached another huge milestone.
The very popular Pitchero server hosts thousands of clubs throughout the islands of Ireland and Britain and after a hugely successful week we have been confirmed as top-performing website in rugby union.

This is a great boost to everyone who works so hard to bring our story to the community at home and abroad. Stories of the exploits of our Super Sevens, through to our Minis, Youths, Girls, Development squad and our senior team reaches our BRFC family all across the planet on a daily basis and ensures that we all share in the excitement and fun of our club, no matter where we find oursleves.

Club President, Martin Boland, has been very supportive of the PR Department and realises the importance of recording our daily history, while Club Chairman Alan Rowe revitalised the media structures in the club in recent years. He was a happy man this morning when BRFC earned the number one spot.

"This is another great achievement for all involved and it truly is a whole community effort. We sat down a few years ago and looked at how we could take the club forward and telling the community about the daily happenings in our great club was a vital ingredient in our development.

"We have made huge progress in that regard and today is a very special day for everyone in Ballina Rugby Club," Alan added.

The PR development of BRFC relies on the co-operation and teamwork of all sections of the club and that has been the real uccess-story, with communication flying in from everywhere as we tell the world about a famous community-club based in the most exciting part of the planet.

A special word of thanks to everyone who contributes to our story.

Now, we move on to the next phase! Stay tuned!
