End of season celebration

Ballina Mini Rugby Coaches had their annual end-of-season dinner in Crocketts on Saturday Night. A very enjoyable night out was had by all.

Darren Young (pictured) was the well deserved and very popular winner of " Mini Rugby Coach of the Year."
Mini Rugby Chairman Val Baynes praised Darren for his dedication and great work with the U9s this season. His passion and commitment to the Mini Rugby cause was outstanding.

Ken Doherty received the inaugural Coaches "Hall of Fame " award.
Ken's involvement with Minis Rugby comes to a close now as his two sons will both be in Youths from next season.
Val paid tribute to the trojan work that Ken has done with Minis over the past several years. The club can rest assured that Ken's involvement with Ballina RFC continues as he is also currently a Youths coach with the U13 Boys.

Val noted that Ballina RFC are very well served by the three dozen Minis coaches who turn out on Saturday mornings to help with training.
He praised the coaches' commitment and passion for rugby which is passed on to all the kids on Saturday mornings at Heffernan Park. He also recognised the support of the coaches' spouses and families.

The Minis would like to thank Noel Regan and all his staff in Crocketts for an excellent meal and great service on the night.
