Creggs deservedly march into the final

Ballina went into this provincial semi-final with great hopes of victory but Creggs had other ideas and deservedly emerged victorious.
They had a very strong team who bullied ballina all over the park and played to their strengths.
The winners started with the wind on their backs and were 10 points up within a few minutes.
Ballina, to their credit, tried their best, especially Ailish Quinn, Sarah McCormick and Emily Foley who tackled everything that moved but Creggs kept coming.
They scored two more tries and a conversion, but Ballina did not give up and Emily Foley scored a try just before half-time to close the gap to 24-5.
Ballina gathered the troops at the break, but had lost Isobel Thornton to an ankle injury at that stage.
They had the wind on their backs for the second half, but the heads were down a little and Creggs soon added a converted try.
Ballina were very down at that stage but the girls did not give up and Ailish Quinn scored a try to bring the score to 31 - 10 but Creggs kept coming and got in for another try and a penalty before the end.
Ballina tried their very best, but Creggs were a step too far and deservedly progressed to the final.
Ballina's biggest problem is that only a few girls tackle and when this improves, the team will progress to the next level.
