Ballina progressed to quarter finals of U18.5 cup with a hard-fought win over a well-organised and spirited Loughrea side in Heffernan Park on Sunday.
The home side were 7-0 up at half time after a well-contested opening period but they turned up the heat after the resumption, running in four tries in the second half.
Ballinasloe will be the opposition in the next round and this will be a very tough match, however Ballina’s confidence is high after several good results.
A special word of thanks to senior player Kieran Lindsay who ran the line despite a tough game in Midleton the previous day.
