New recruits needed for workshop

Ballina RFC are looking for new referees. The club has consciously set out to recruit new whistlers and we'd be delighted to assist all interested parties in this regard.
A New Recruits Workshop will take place in The Sportsground in Galway on Sunday, January 7th and we're really hoping to have representatives from the club taking part.

There are many reasons to be a referee. Here are just a few:

1. Stay Involved – keeps you involved with the game as an alternative to playing

2. Social – the social aspect of rugby is renowned, it’s a great way to meet new people and make new friends

3. Fitness – it is a fantastic way to keep fit. The IRFU have the highest level of expertise in this area

4. Travel – the higher level you reach, the more involvement you will have in Europe, PRO14 and the UBL

5. The Club – referees are ‘a club within a club’ who get together regularly for meetings. There’s a great team spirit

6. Ambition – could you referee an international match? There is huge room for growth

7. Tickets – referees are allowed to apply for international and provincial match tickets

Anyone interested in taking part in this workshop should contact any member of the BRFC club committee or message us on Facebook.
